Manifesto
Everyday People is a world-renowned event series, cultural platform, and global community born at the intersection of music, inclusion, and Diaspora culture. Dubbed "the world’s favorite day party," Everyday People has evolved from an intimate Brooklyn gathering into an international movement that celebrates Black joy, creative expression, and global club sounds.
The Story & Origin
Founded in New York City by Saada Ahmed, DJ MOMA, Chef Roblé Ali, and Steven Julien, Everyday People was built on a simple yet radical premise: creating an intentional, joyful space where people of all backgrounds—spanning the African Diaspora and beyond—could gather, connect, and dance without pretension.
The Soundscape
Musically, Everyday People serves as a cross-continental bridge. Its soundtrack seamlessly weaves together the rich sonic tapestry of modern and classic global rhythms, featuring:
- Afrobeats & Afro-House
- Amapiano
- Dancehall & Reggae
- Hip-Hop & R&B
- Latin & Tropical Rhythms
Global Footprint
While anchored in its NYC roots, Everyday People is a truly nomadic experience. The collective hosts high-energy pop-up day parties, festival stages, and community activations across major cultural capitals worldwide, including New York, Los Angeles, London, Johannesburg, Lagos, Accra, Paris, and Nairobi.
Whether bringing together emerging artists, local talent, or international headliners, Everyday People remains dedicated to fostering safety, unity, and uninhibited celebration on dance floors across the globe.
