Every number has a name. Every headline was someone's daughter, sister, mother, friend, or partner.

In Her Honor is more than an event—it's a collective act of remembrance, solidarity, and resistance against the growing crisis of femicide and gender-based violence in Kenya.

On Saturday, August 1st, we gather at The Nairobi Arboretum to honor the lives that were stolen too soon, amplify the voices demanding justice, and stand together in the belief that every woman deserves to live free from fear.

Through powerful music, spoken word, storytelling, poetry, and community conversations, we will celebrate the resilience of women while mourning those we've lost. This year's theme, "Loud & Alive," is a declaration that we will not remain silent in the face of violence. We choose to speak. We choose to remember. We choose to act.

Featuring performances by Koko Koseso, Lydiah Dola, Serro, Sanaipe Tande, Muhonja, Nyawira Siren, Zannaziki, Zaituni, Iddi Achieng, Bobo, and more, this gathering creates space for healing, reflection, and collective action.

Whether you come to listen, sing, grieve, learn, or simply stand in solidarity, your presence matters.

Together, we honor those we've lost.
Together, we support survivors.
Together, we demand a future where women can live safely and freely.
